Mr. L.K. Tsang started
his service to the local IT industry from 1981/82 where
he was council member of the Hong Kong Computer Society.
From there, he was council member for the following
eleven years, serving as Education Chairman, Hon. Secretary,
Hon. Treasurer etc.
At the same time,
Mr. Tsang put up his effort to the training of young
IT professionals. He served as Head of Department, in
the Department of Computing at Hong Kong Institute of
Vocational Education (ST).
Mr. Tsang was founding
Chairman of the Hong Kong IT Joint Council, and was
leader of the delegate to Beijing in 1996 to solicit
an IT subsector in the HKSAR legco.
Mr. Tsang offered
his services to the various local advisory committees,
which includes the IT Infrastructure Advisory Committee
and the Advisory Committee of the Privacy Commissioner's
office. He is currently a member of the Public Affairs
Forum of the HKSAR Government.
