Dr. Winnie Tang holds a Ph.D. degree from The University of Hong Kong. She is the Founder and CEO of ESRI China (Hong Kong) Limited, one of the international offices of ESRI. ESRI is one of the world top 100 software companies, and the 4th largest privately-owned software company in the world. In Hong Kong, Dr. Tang is a frequent guest speaker and guest professor for universities grooming our future information technology (IT) talents and professionals.

In 2001, she was awarded as one of the'Ten Outstanding Young Digi Persons' in Hong Kong, recognizing her contributions and achievements in the use of GIS and IT for the good of the community. In 2004, she was awarded Women of Influence - Young Achiever of the Year Award, in recognition of her success in the areas of entrepreneurial accomplishments, advocacy and mentoring, and community involvements. In 2006, she was awarded as one of the "Ten Outstanding Young Persons' in Hong Kong in recognition of her significant business achievements and contributions to the society.
