Graduated with B.Sc.
(Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Manchester,
Ir. Ng Cheung Shing (C.S.) has more than 20 years of
experience in the I.T. industry. He started his career
as an engineer in Dataproducts Ltd., a computer printer
manufacturer and held executive positions in Sun Hung
Kai (China) Limited and Hewlett-Packard (Asia Pacific)
Ltd. In 1991, C.S. founded Computer And Technologies
International Limited and successfully led C&T to
be listed on the main board of the Stock Exchange of
Hong Kong in 1998.
Feeling strongly the
need of an organization representing the interests of
the local I.T. industry, C.S. instigated the establishment
of ISIA in 1999. Under his chairmanship, ISIA has not
only proved its effectiveness in promoting the development
of the local I.T. industry, but also been acting as
the platform for experience sharing, partnership facilitation
between Hong Kong and the Mainland China, as well as
communications with the government. Besides, CS has
been actively participating in a number of Government
advisory boards regarding I.T. and education development.
C.S. was a member of Election Committee (IT Functional
Constituency) 2000-2005 and also the awardee of the
Ten Outstanding Young Person and Young Industrialist
Awards of Hong Kong in 2000.
